Charge Artist

Date

March 2020

Location

Parkland High School

Although this show was never finished due to Covid, I like to keep it in my portfolio because I was able to play with some neat textures.
Show Portals
- The show portals were made to look like trees
- The face of the legs were different sizes of luaun
- On top of the luaun we crinkled brown Kraft paper that was glued on top to create a bark texture
- The boarders were made with Autumn colored fabrics to look like the leaves of the trees when the show takes place
Silo
- After being built and primed, a light and dark beige was used as a base for the silo
- The base was painted in random patches, meeting the other color and roughly blended
- Once the base was dry, a layer of Elmers glue was painted on top of each panel
- When the glue was clear, but not dry, a dark brown was painted on top
- As the glue dried completely, it peeled the brown on top and created an old, worn out look
Floor
- The floor was painted a sandy yellow for the base
- Colors similar to the fabrics on the boarders were sprayed on top
